City West Water and subsequently Greater Western Water (GWW) engaged Sequana to undertake a range of business evaluations and assurance reviews.
This included (a) assurance to the Board over the integration of City West Water and Western Water; (b) assurance review of the effectiveness of asset delivery practices and related quality assurance and quality control systems; and (c) review of asset management responsibilities for all GWW dams and major storages.
Sequana’s provision of business review and assurance services has supported GWW during integration and provided the board and management with confidence that the integrated entity is capable of delivering its core services to customers. Our assurance reviews resulted in formal recommendations and findings including the identification of all capability, capacity, process, and other work gaps that required attention.
- The Capital Works Management assurance review and final assessment provided confidence to GWW in its asset delivery program and the necessary critical organisational review for enduring operations.
- The Dams Management Assurance Review provided a best practice review of the internal capabilities required to manage an asset portfolio with GWW’s current dam risk profile and service requirements currently underway.
- The Integration Assurance Review provided the GWW Board with insight into the integration process, highlighting and identifying potential problems and promoting collaborative engagement with the board to improve and deliver the highest quality outcomes.
