Our Work

Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project (VMFRP) .

The VMFRP Project seeks to enable the delivery of environmental water to 14,000 hectares of highly ecologically significant floodplains along the Murray River.

Between 2017 and 2023, Sequana completed several engagements to assist Government agencies at various stages of the project. These engagements included preparing a project implementation strategy, establishing the project management framework, developing procurement strategies, and embedding resources into the project team to assist with delivery. During this time, Sequana has worked closely with DEECA, LMW, Mallee CMA and North Central CMA to deliver their obligations on the project.

With Sequana’s assistance, the project was successful in obtaining Commonwealth funding of $32 million for the establishment stage of the project, and subsequent additional funding contributions to progress the regulatory approvals.

The Sequana team led the procurement process to engage consultants for the detailed design, regulatory approvals, cultural heritage management plans, and landowner agreements.
