Mineral Resources Water Security Study.

Sequana was engaged by Mineral Resources to conduct a Water Security Study.

• Mineral Resources identified that the increased water demand required as part of their capital projects cannot be met through existing supply methods.
• Furthermore, existing supply methods carry significant uncertainty and risk, and Mineral Resources is seeking to define additional sources achieving ‘water security through diversity.’
• The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential for desalination plants to form a key path for Mineral Resource’s overall water security strategy to meet future water demand for Mt Marion, Wodgina and Onslow.
• Sequana completed a scoping study to define potential additional water sources for Mineral Resources’ operations, including the potential for seawater desalination plants to provide water security.
