Sequana was engaged to undertake a review of the DEECA 2008 Recycled Water Business Case for the purpose of mine rehabilitation (i.e. using water to fill mine pits), rather than mine operation (i.e. using water in cooling towers).
The investigation involves:
•A stocktake review of available information regarding the 2008 RWBC
•An information gap analysis to inform a robust feasibility study of both options
•Identification of any major events since 2008 that would likely impact water availability, quality, and/or cost; and
•An implementation strategy to deliver a full business case for mine rehabilitation in the Latrobe Valley.
