Our Work

Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism: Murray Darling Basin Authority.

The Sustainable Diversions Limit Adjustment Mechanism (SDLAM) program was established with the objective of providing an annual 605GL offset, contributing to the desired outcomes for the Basin Plan.

Although 36 projects (a combination of water-saving, rules-based, and constraints project) had been identified, and a number of projects had been funded there was no overall program governance framework in place, a lack of formalised reporting from project managers in the jurisdictions, uncertain roles and responsibilities and the absence of a cross-jurisdictional assurance framework.

Sequana’s engagement involved extensive engagement of the jurisdictions, including face-to-face review (prior to mandated lockdown restrictions) and online meetings and workshops during the COVID-19 pandemic.
