Founded in 2019 by Frank Fisseler and Mike Walsh, Sequana is the leading client-side project management consultancy for Australia’s water industry.

The venture is an avenue for founders Fisseler and Walsh to utilise their combined 65 years of experience in water infrastructure to provide exceptional advice, leadership and management services across Australia’s largest water infrastructure projects.

Introducing-Sequana

Sequana is the next step for Frank Fisseler, after founding W-Flow Pty Ltd in 2015 to provide hands-on project management and advisory services to the Australian infrastructure sector. His extensive experience as a Project Director and Infrastructure Advisor over the past 25 years has resulted in his proven track record of strategically planning and managing complex infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally. His main goal with Sequana is to continue to successfully turn around projects that are either delayed or suffering from significant cost increases, completely restructuring projects and solving high-profile risks to government and key stakeholders. His work has been recognised both in Australia and internationally by being awarded with engineering, innovation and project team awards.

With over 40 years’ experience in the Australian and international water industry, Mike Walsh has been a key influencing figure in some of Australia’s most important water infrastructure projects, such as Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia’s desalination plants and Victoria’s Recycled Water Business Case. He has spent 25 years in the private sector managing the design, construction, commissioning and operation of water & wastewater assets, most notably as the former Managing Director of Thames Water A/P in Australia and Singapore.

Introducing-Sequana-1

Throughout their careers, Fisseler and Walsh have successfully run large-scale, multi-billion dollar projects, not only ensuring the successful delivery of the project, but also navigating the pressures, constraints and challenges that arise from a constantly changing industry, managing the effects of climate change, large organisational transformation, government policy and budget, asset and resourcing constraints. With Sequana, they aim to continue assisting their clients through the most challenging aspects of their projects, ensuring a successful solution for all stakeholders.
